Accounting Clerk
Job Description
**MUST BE FROM BOLPUR OR NEARBY LOCATION**
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, issue payments, and record incoming payments. Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and following up on outstanding payments.
– General Ledger Maintenance: Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger and maintain proper documentation to support entries.
– Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the company’s financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
– Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software and other related systems while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
– Expense Tracking: Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring adherence to expense policies and identifying any irregularities.
– Vendor and Customer Relations: Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve payment and billing inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
– Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and well-documented financial records, both electronically and in physical files.
Qualifications and Requirements:
** Must have knowledge of accounting software
– High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require an associate’s degree or relevant certification in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
– Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
– Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
– Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
– Ethical and trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
