Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall accounting function of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for Ecommerce Fashion Company in GCC. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Finance head to ensure that the company’s financial operations are efficient and effective.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze actual financial results against budgeted targets, providing insights and recommendations.
• Oversee the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions and perform periodic reconciliations while maintaining supporting documentation.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of controls.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure the team’s adherence to deadlines and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual financial audits. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to support audit procedures. Prepare and submit tax returns and assist with tax planning strategies.
• Implement and enhance financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Qualifications:

• A qualified Chartered Accountant is must.
• Strong background of IFRS.
• Knowledge of language such as SQL will be added advantage
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in financial management systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the ecommerce industry.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Experience with internal controls and compliance.
• Experience with leading and supervising a team.
