APAC Accounting Manager

The role
The APAC Accounting Manager will support Spaulding Ridge’s operations in India and Philippines, helping with local operations and compliance, reporting to the headquarters in the US. You will be responsible for all vendors relationship/payments, accounting entries, tax payments and support to local leaders. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to help shape the growth of a US company rapidly expanding in the APAC region.
- Primary contact for all APAC countries with outsourced accountants and tax advisors.
- Contribute to the development of APAC accounting operations and internal business controls across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate.
- Provide monthly oversight for payroll tax payment compliance for all countries in the region, working with our internal payroll team.
- Coordinating and liaising with the auditors; primary contact for external auditors for annual and periodic audits and all ongoing tax requirements.
- Manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers, vendors, banking institutions and accountants.
- Ability to understand contract terms and other business matters and translate them into the appropriate application of U.S. GAAP
- Respond to inquiries from the COO, Controller, Regional Leaders, HR, Legal and company wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
- Internal control design and operational efficiency. Leading ongoing country compliance and ensuring robust control environment is in place across the regions.
You have
- 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience with APAC regional exposure (India and Philippines preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant field
- Proficiency in business English
- Working understanding of US GAAP and local rules and regulations, and must be able to perform thorough research of accounting issues
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- NetSuite experienced strongly preferred, Anaplan and Financial Force (Certinia) a plus
- Experience working with external stakeholders like auditors and tax partners
- Experience working with a US headquartered company/teammates in different time zones
