Capital Accounting Senior Analyst – NA (277566)

Job Purpose and Impact

The Capital Accounting Senior Analyst will provide partnership and guidance to a variety of business and functions stakeholders delivering insights to drive optimal performance on capital execution and supporting on the application of policies to ensure accounting principles are being followed. This role is also accountable for delivering complete and accurate information for the financial statements and management reporting for leases, projects and fixed assets and the monitoring of internal financial controls. Utilizing a process improvement mindset, this role will be a change agent, collaborating with our FinOps and global process organization to implement standard processes across.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee Capital spending processes – Utilizes extensive knowledge of the business and accounting principles to assist stakeholders with questions regarding capital spending and performance, fixed assets and leasing.
• Provide analysis and guidance on proper treatment of asset acquisition, disposal, impairments, accelerated depreciation, budgeting, etc.
• Communicate, educate and implement corporate policies and local procedures in the businesses supported. Includes mentoring & training personnel, developing reporting tools and alignment with other functions as necessary.
• Lead alignment between Capital Accounting team and Finance Ops team for consistent processes. Manage processes related to capital spending and fixed assets.
• Identify and lead the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies related to project accounting and fixed assets.
• Develop and perform monitoring controls related to project accounting processes. Consultation and collaboration with appropriate corporate resources to ensure proper implementation of controls framework.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Qualified CA in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of Six years of related work experience.
• Experience with Capitalisations, Project accounting with US GAAP and Audit exposure
• Experienced leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making.
• Experienced working with multiple businesses or international business experience
• SAP experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

• Master’s degree
• Experience using accounting technology applications.
