Responsibilities:
- Supervision of AMP project delivery supported by regional and Washington National Tax office (WNT) AMP specialists, including overall changes, revenue recognition, expense recognition, inventory/UNICAP, Section 174 R&E expenditures, tax impact of ASC 842, qualified small business taxpayers, and cost recovery tax accounting method changes
- Overseeing, mentoring, and project managing a team of subordinates (interns, associates, rotators)
- Develop an understanding of client’s business and become a “functional expert” in the area
- Research and write tax advice, opinion, and position memorandums
- Professional certification as CPA or state bar admission
- 3 plus years of experience working with tax accounting methods and inventory
- Masters in Accounting or other business related field; MBA, MST, JD/LLM

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting). degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in public accounting, or a combination of public accounting and industry/law
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft business suite
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to work effectively on a team
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with drafting technical memoranda, legal basis disclosures, responses to IRS inquiries, and IRS Ruling requests
- Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include technical discussions with clients, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
- Provides timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate
- Help drive the success of multiple CIM engagements, primarily related to AMP in addition to other Energy & Excise services (E&E), Federal Credit or Incentives studies (FCI), Tangible Property Services (TPS), as appropriate
- Contribute as industry expert by keeping abreast of changes in industry regulation, maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications
