Deputy General Manager – Sales
Job Description
About Client:
Our client is one of the leading cement manufacturers in India. , which is a well-known business conglomerate in South India.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Execute the sales strategies
- Carry out Industry analysis & demand forecasting for budgeting (sales, sales promotion & manpower)
- Carry out sales through multiple mediums (dealership/ distribution/ channel / direct sales)
- Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders and partners
- Identify new market opportunities and emerging trands to increase sales revenue
- Improve market share by developing ‘weak markets’ and achieving incremental volumes.
- Plan/monitor of sales promotional programmes and co-ordination with technical service team for improving brand image and customer acceptance.
- Periodic review of the effectiveness of promotional programs; devise innovative sales promotional schemes to ensure implementation of the same.
- Co-ordinate with accounts/admin for day-to day operations of marketing department.
- Ensure all commercial activities/ clearances on time.
- Compile market information and provide timely feedback to management.
- Propose strategies for market development by systematic/ periodic SWOT analysis of the sector
- Analyse competitor prices/discounts and make price recommendations and discounts.
- Motivate the sales force and training of sales team. Monthly reviews of team.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for performance improvement
Candidate Requirement:
- 13+ years of experience with a full time degree- BE. Civil.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
- In-depth knowledge of construction chemicals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
