About the role

As Manager,  the employee would be responsible for managing Accounts payable & receivable, Banking & Payments, Monthly Closing and Reconciliations, Statutory Filings – Audit & Secretarial and other related activities.

·       Key Responsibilities :

o   Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts.

o   Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed.

o   Analyse monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of  cash flows) and effectively convey analysis to staff as requested).

o   Apply Group accounting and financial control policies, standards, procedures, and internal control practices as applicable in line with venture development.

o   Identify, assess, treat and monitor significant operational risks and propose risk acceptance requests with justification to the authorized risk acceptance authority and abide by any conditions of acceptance.

o   Promptly execute any remediation or risk treatment actions in order to remain within risk tolerance

o   Review of monthly actuals and expected forecasts for both entities.

o   Data maintenance for Venture and Fund reporting ( using internal & external tools)

o   Daily & Weekly review – Vendor bills, employee expense reimbursement & other transactions according to stipulated guidelines.

o   Preparation of weekly payment tracker file and weekly payment uploads in different banking portals

o   Preparation of weekly payment tracker file and weekly payment uploads in different banking portals.

o   Corporate Card transactions review & reconciliations.

o   Maintain Fixed Assets Register.

o   Weekly & Monthly bank reconciliations in Intacct for both Singapore and Indian Entity.

o   Petty Cash Management & Payouts.

o   Imprest Accounts reconciliations.

o   Monthly TDS – transaction verification and payments.

o   Accruals and Prepaid Exp Tracker – Booking of accounting transactions & completion of reconciliation statement on monthly basis.

o   AP Ageing reconciliation with Trial Balance.

o   Inter Company reconciliations – monthly.

o   Statutory Monthly & Quarterly Tax Returns – Overseas & India (VAT & GST).

o   TDS, GST & VAT Returns – Data validation and coordination with consultants for filing

o   Foreign Lability & Assets Report (FLA), MSME Returns, MCA filings, APR filings, ROC and other related filings.

o   Board Minutes – Data sharing and coordination with consultants.

o   Tax Returns filings verification.

o    Assistance to Internal teams in Annual Audits.

Technical Skills and Ideal Candidate

o   8 years to 12 years in a similar Finance and Accounting role

o   Good communication and interpersonal skills

o   Expert in  Microsoft Office suite, especially    MS Excel

o   Prior experience of working with early age tech startup is a plus.

o   Experience in any ERP – Zoho , Tally , iLevel , Xero etc.

o   Strong attention to deadlines and detail – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

o   Work independently

o   Stakeholder Management both internally and with SCV team.
