Position Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Private Credit Senior Controller’s and Business leads in managing the people, process and enabling technology necessary to support the Private Credit funds. Responsibilities include month end & quarter-end accounting and NAV review, review of financial statements and leading on audits, ad hoc reporting for management, internal clients and investors, and performance reporting. Responsibility for overseeing books and records for the Credit funds and associated reporting.

  • Monthly and quarterly review and finalization of NAV for International Private credit funds
  • Onboarding New funds
  • Lead the financial and operational team responsible for investor reporting, compliance with the fund agreements, management reporting
  • Coordinate with Administrators and ensure timely reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors with regards to statutory fund audits (US GAAP, IFRS, SFRS etc.)
  • Review valuation memos and report to the Senior Controller any issues and assist in remediation
  • Take Complete control and ownership for signing off Fund financials & report deliverables
  • Calculation of management fees and Incentive fees / carried interest
  • Work with Corporate Controllers to report and record all monthly and quarterly corporate reporting (carried interest income, GP direct interest, Management fees etc.)
  • Work with internal and external tax counsel on investor tax reporting and investment structuring.
  • Work alongside the investment teams on deal closings, restructurings, financings
  • Liaise with Marketing and Investor Servicing teams on quarterly reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Complete ad hoc and special projects and initiatives as directed
  • General support for Business leads and Senior Controller

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate, a Chartered Accountant with fund accounting experience preferred.
  • An energetic, forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards
  • Organization and leadership, Growth mindset focused on creating a thoughtful workplace geared towards efficient analysis and decision making
  • Strong technical accounting expertise on U.S. GAAP / LUX GAAP.
  • Individual must be collaborative to effectively liaise with investment partners and colleagues
  • Superior verbal and written skills, able to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve internal differences and observe confidentiality
  • Role requires individual to be nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to take on a task and “run with it” to conclusion is a critical characteristic of this role

10-15 years of experience in investment management business with strong experience in Private Equity, Hedge funds and Partnership/fund accounting, administration, and financial reporting
