Job Title: Manager, General Ledger Accounting
Location: Pune, India

About This Role:

Comscore’s General Ledger Manager will report to the Director of Consolidations and will work closely with the cross functional teams, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Local International teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare monthly financial statement variance explanations
  • Input data into accounting systems; type, file, post ledger and general journal entries; check and verify accuracy of entries and transactions; handle data entry for multiple country codes on a daily basis
  • Own/manage the entire monthly close process for certain international entities
  • Prepare/review monthly reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts and significant Income Statement accounts
  • Prepare month-end accruals
  • Ensure that transactions are reflected on the proper legal entity and in the correct currency
  • Manage policy and compliance process for assigned areas; actively seek process improvements and propose process changes
  • Prepare Audit support schedules
  • Ensure compliance with SOX
  • Assist staff with ad-hoc requests and data gathering
  • Provide support for Statutory Audits of international entities

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited university and 5-7 years of professional Accounting experience
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience applying US GAAP standards and compiling financial statements
  • Understanding of foreign currency transactions
  • Understanding of intercompany transactions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate details of prepared financial information
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Excel functions/formulas and pivot tables
  • The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented self-starter willing to take ownership to develop and implement process enhancements & business solutions
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Organizational, prioritization and time management skills are essential
