What is the Sr Financial Reporting Analyst responsible for?

• Works under the general direction of a supervisor and performs routine Fund Expenses activities and Financial/ Reporting tasks.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Sr Financial Reporting Analyst responsible for?

• Responsible for computation and monitoring expense ratios for Mutual Fund Schemes

• Responsible for timely release of all expense payments and vendor management.

• Budgeting and forecasting skills

• Liaison with fund accountants on various expense and valuation related deliverables

• Oversight on expense related daily activities performed by the Fund Accountants

• Manage and improve day-to-day analysis and reporting.

• Ensure that all month end and fiscal year end activities / reportings are completed accurately as per required deadlines

• Critical role in analyzing impact of any Regulatory changes.

• Responsible for providing impact reports to senior management regarding these changes.

• Overall responsibility of Tax related matters with regards to vendor payouts – Deducting, Remitting, and filing of returns as required by the statutory bodies.

• Knowledge on Mutual Fund Regulations and AMFI Best Practices guidelines.

• Monitoring and review of compliances with SEBI regulations & different reporting requirements with regards to Scheme Expenses .

• Providing various Monthly status reports and other ad hoc requests for the senior management.

• Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers.

• Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

• Assist in seamless closure of Statutory and other Audits.

• Good Excel knowledge, Analytics and data interpretations skills

• Good Communication skill – inter and intra department communication required.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Education & Experience:

• This position requires the following minimum prior experience based on level of formal education.

• MBA with 2-5 years of experience or CA with 1-3 years of experience.

Work experience should include the following areas:

• Experience in Mutual Fund Industry

• Budgeting and financial forecasting 

• Fund accounting/Reporting

Work Shift Timings – 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST
