Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Zonal Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at Flexzo HR Services Pvt Ltd. This is a senior-level position based in Chennai, Alandur, Alwaye, Bengaluru, or Addanki. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years to a maximum of 10 years of relevant work experience in sales, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This is a full-time role that focuses on achieving regional sales targets and managing a team to drive business growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in sales strategy development and execution
  • Proven track record in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sales
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve regional sales targets
  • Expertise in Customer Relationship Management to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Strong budgeting skills to efficiently allocate resources and manage sales budgets
  • Advanced negotiation skills to close deals effectively and maintain profitable client agreements
  • Accurate forecasting abilities to predict sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Effective leadership skills to manage and motivate a regional sales team

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sells products by maintaining and expanding customer base and managing staff.
  • Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts.
  • Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions, and employee enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Plans and reviews compensation strategies.
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepares and completes action plans and implements production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines regional sales system improvements, and implements change when necessary.
  • Meets regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counselling district sales representatives, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities or products, packaging, and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet regional sales target
  • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of sales professionals within the designated region
  • Monitor market trends and competition to adjust sales strategies effectively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with other departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to upper management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all sales activities
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base within the region
